Homemade Irish Cream Liquor

Bailey's Irish CreamThis recipe is so easy to make and lasts for months in your refrigerator! Need a last minute gift? Celebrating the New Year?  Just make a batch and it will taste good right away but very mellow after a day or two. I have given recommendations for specific ingredients but you can create your own flavor sensations!

Homemade Irish Cream

1 cup Irish Whiskey- Scotch or Bourbon can be substituted

1 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk- regular or fat free

4 large eggs

2 Tablespoons chocolate syrup-preferably Fox’s UBet

2 tablespoons vanilla extract -I love Adam’s Best but any good quality vanilla will do

1 teaspoon coconut extract (omit if using Adam’s)

2 teaspoons powdered instant espresso- I use Medaglia d’Oro

  1.  Combine all of the ingredients in a blender at medium speed to thoroughly blend.
  2. Transfer to a clean bottle and store in the refrigerator for up to 4 months.  Shake well before using.
