We’ve weathered the worst of the Pandemic and tornadoes and earthquake’s and floods, so now it’s time to renew the act of nurturing ourselves! What better way to do so than with a bowl of hot, HOMEMADE soup. One company might be M, M, Good, but one recipe from your kitchen can provide a number of meals for you. If you don’t bother making soup because you are only cooking for one or two, here’s a hint, fill 1 quart freezer bags with 2 cups of soup and then slowly close the bag while you carefully lay the bag down. If you do this there will be very little air in the bag and the bag will be relatively flat. Now you just have to stack them in your freezer and they take up very little room. Certainly, this method takes up much less room then an assortment of plastic containers so no need to make excuses for the size of your apartment refrigerator.
There are many soups listed on my website but why don’t you check out some of my favorites Mushroom Barley Soup, Russian (really Ukrainian) Cabbage Borscht, and Mulligatawny. But also check out my new recipes for Vegetarian Mushroom Soup that is also Vegan and Greek Avgolemeno Soup. All will warm your tummies as well as your hearts.
